The Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO), on January 11 organized an international art exchange program to welcome the Lunar New Year 2023 and celebrate the success of the HAUFO's sixth congress term 2022 - 2027.

The event was attended by representatives of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) and members of friendship organizations, HAUFO’s affiliated agencies, embassies, international schools, and bilingual schools in Hanoi.

The event was considered as a gift for Vietnamese delegates and international friends working in Vietnam, contributing to strengthening the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and other countries.

Delivering new year greetings to the international friends, Tran Thi Phuong, HAUFO vice chairwoman, thanked foreign countries for supporting Vietnam in its integration and development, helping increase the country’s global prestige.

On behalf of international friends, Palestinian Ambassador to Vietnam Saadi Salama, head of the diplomatic corps in Hanoi, congratulated the sixth congress of HAUFO, thanks the friendship union for being a bridge connecting international friends and Hanoians, in particular, and Vietnamese people, in general.

At the event, participants enjoyed art performances by Vietnamese artists, embassies’ staff and foreign students such as ‘The song of Porotok bird’ - a Central Highlands folk music, played by Suc Song Moi (New Life) ensemble; the song 'Moscow Afternoon' perfomed by the Russian Embassy; 'Manuk Dadali', "Guru Vandana and Tarana" by Indonesian Embassy.

It strengthened the mutual understanding between the people of Hanoi and international friends, thereby promoting the image of Hanoi as a dynamic, open, hospitable and peaceful capital.
