One of the highlights of the business trip is the visit to the Lesedi Cultural Village. This is a prominent community tourism model with a space that vividly recreates the cultural life of the Zulu, Xhosa, Pedi, and Basotho ethnic groups. At the village, the delegation learned how South Africa links the preservation of indigenous cultures with sustainable tourism development. This model puts people at the center of heritage conservation, while providing an immersive experience of traditional rituals, cuisine, architecture, and art.
Learning about the Lesedi model, Nguyen Lan Huong believed it can open a new direction in cultural tourism development combined with experiential education, create sustainable livelihoods for local people and spread the cultural values of Vietnam and Hanoi to the world, since Hanoi currently has many craft villages, ancient villages and residential communities with a long tradition, such as Duong Lam Ancient Village, Bat Trang Pottery Village, Van Phuc Silk Village, and suburban Quan Ho villages.
Within the framework of the business trip, the delegation interacted with South African youth and students. They expressed their special interest in Vietnamese cultures, especially Ao Dai, cuisine, and the image of peaceful and friendly Hanoi.
The delegation is also joined by the Vietnamese community in South Africa, discussing integrating with the local society while preserving its own identity, and the community’s role as a bridge in promoting people-to-people exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.

In the administrative capital of Pretoria, the delegation met with the Vietnamese Embassy in South Africa. According to Vietnamese Ambassador to South Africa Hoang Sy Cuong, South Africa is the continent's largest economy; its potential lies in the fields of agriculture, processing industry, mining, tourism, and technology. Vietnam and South Africa have established diplomatic relations since 1993, and now South Africa is Vietnam's first Partnership for Cooperation and Development in Africa. Hanoi and South African localities still have a lot of potential for cooperation, especially in science, investment, tourism, culture, and education.
Delegation leader Nguyen Lan Huong highly appreciated the support of the Embassy, and at the same time, provided information about the socio-economic development of Hanoi. She suggested that the Embassy continue to serve as a bridge to promote Hanoi's image, supporting business connections, trade promotion, investment, product organization, tourism cooperation, and cultural exchanges, as well as training and human resource development between Hanoi and South African localities.

"Hanoi wishes to work with Pretoria to coordinate, through the Embassy of Vietnam in South Africa and the Embassy of South Africa in Vietnam, to connect the business communities of the two sides, strengthen the promotion of potential opportunities for cooperation, and support businesses. In addition, with a unique and attractive cultural background, the two sides need to create conditions to strengthen cultural and artistic exchanges; promote people-to-people exchanges, promote culture between Hanoi and major cities of South Africa, contributing to the common achievements of bilateral relations between Vietnam and South Africa".
