HCMC instructs online Covid-19 medical declarations for tourism sector

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism has issued an urgent document requesting tourism establishments and enterprises to make online medical declarations and implement epidemic preventive measures in the new situation, Baotintuc reported.
Enterprises need to continue to assess the epidemic preventive level for accommodation activities, travel businesses and tourist attractions in the locality as well as strictly comply with the Health Ministry’s 5K message namely Khau trang (facemask)- (Khu khuan) disinfection- (Khoang cach) distance- (Khong tu tap) no gathering – (Khai bao y te) health declaration.
In addition, enterprises need to continue supporting contact tracing as the community transmission is detected, contributing to timely controlling the epidemic.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism also asked all tourism establishments and enterprises to install applications such as VHD (Vietnam Health Declaration), Bluezone, Ncovi and make medical declarations by personal QR Code. At the same time, they need to stick public QR Code at the entrances to facilitate visitors in making medical “check in/ out” declaration.
Tourism establishments and enterprises were ordered to regularly update the Covid-19 situation; abide by the directions of the Government, the Health Ministry, and the local authorities in Covid-19 prevention and control; prepare scenarios to timely respond to the epidemic, etc.
Of the 36 community transmissions HCMC has recorded in the nation’s latest outbreak that began on Jan. 28, one is linked to Hai Duong Province, Vietnam's current Covid-19 epicenter, and 35 with the airport.
Health authorities have said the outbreak in the city has been put under control.
