The Head of the Management Board of the Ho Chi Minh President Relic Site in Udon Thani province affirmed that the inauguration of Uncle Ho’s stilt house is an event of profound significance, marking a new stage of development of the relic site, where Uncle Ho once lived and carried out revolutionary activities in Thailand.

Construction of Uncle Ho’s stilt house commenced on April 9, 2025, and has now been completed in accordance with the traditional stilt house architecture of Hanoi, faithfully recreating the simple yet noble living space of Uncle Ho, as part of the relic site expansion project.

The expansion project covers an area of 4,800 square meters, comprising various components such as a multifunctional hall, the One Pillar Pagoda, and several auxiliary facilities, which are expected to be completed by 2028.

Uncle Ho’s stilt house has a construction area of 100 square meters, modeled on the original Uncle Ho’s stilt house at the Presidential Palace in the capital Hanoi, and is the first construction item within the overall expansion project of the Ho Chi Minh President Relic Site in Udon Thani province.
