King of Spain impressed with Vietnam’s success in combating COVID-19
As reported by Vietnamplus, on June 17, at the Royal Palace of Zarzuela in Madrid, Spain, Ambassador of Vietnam in the Kingdom of Spain, Hoang Xuan Hai presented the Delegation Letter to Spanish King Felipe VI.
Talking at the meeting, King Felipe VI highly appreciated Vietnam's impressive achievements in socio-economic development, international integration, positive developments in bilateral cooperative relations between two countries in recent years as well as Vietnam’s extraordinary success in combating with COVID-19. He also would like two nations to share experience in preventing the epidemic, added Vietnamplus.

The King wishes Ambassador Hoang Xuan Hai a successful term with his new position. He noted that the Ambassador will be a bridge and make a contribution to consolidating friendly and cooperative relations between Spain and Vietnam.
The ambassador Hoang Xuan Hai conveyed the best wishes of General Secretary, President Nguyen Phu Trong and his wife to King Filipe VI and Queen Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano. Besides, he also transferred the invitation of Secretary, President Nguyen Phu Trong to the King and Queen to pay an official visit to Vietnam at a favorable time in the near future. He expressed his honor to receive the mission in Spain in the context of the two countries had just celebrated the 10th anniversary of establishing a strategic partnership (2009-2019).

The ambassador shared Vietnam’s experience in successfully controlling COVID-19 and highly appreciated the effective and decisive measures of Spain against the pandemic. Thanks to that, the Spanish government can remove the alarming situation lasting for over three months. The ambassador believes that under the King's reign, the leadership of the Government, Spain will soon overcome this difficult period and continue to build the country more prosperous.
Vietnam, in the position as the Chairman of ASEAN and the non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, hopes to closely cooperate with the international communities including Spain. The ambassador Hoang Xuan Hai pledged to try his best to promote the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Spain in the coming time particularly in potential aspects such as agriculture, energy, science and technology, education, environment, and climate change, informed VOV.
