Korean Culture Day To Light Up Hoi An This Weekend
Organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea (RoK) in Vietnam, the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam in coordination with the People's Committee of Quang Nam province and the Hoi An People's Committee, the 2023 Korean cultural day will be held on December 9 at the An Hoi Sculpture Garden, VOV reported.
The program is supported by the RoK's Tourism Organization and the RoK's Creative Content Agency in Vietnam, aiming to provide a chance for visitors to experience both Korean and Vietnamese culture and cuisine.

Visitors will therefore join the event to make kimchi and lanterns, try on hanbok, play folk games, and draw masks.
One Commune One Product (OCOP) products, hand-made items, and souvenirs of Hoi An City will be showcased during the one-day event.
Furthermore, a K-pop Random Dance performance is expected to bring a festive atmosphere to the UNESCO-recognized world heritage city.
A music gala will conclude the Korean cultural day in Hoi An, drawing the participation of Korean singer Jinju, Unwreckable, and SDG Crew dance groups, along with several famous Vietnamese artists.
Choi Seung Jin, director of the Korean Cultural Center, shared, "The center will continue to be a bridge to promote deeper two-way cultural exchange between Korea and Vietnam. I hope the Korean Culture Day program in Hoi An 2023 will be a great destination to explore, enjoy culture, and bond through culture exchanges."
The Korean Cultural Day was first held in the central province of Quang Nam back in 2017. The annual event attracts thousands of residents, along with Korean and other foreign tourists every year.
When Hoi An joins the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of Crafts and Folk Arts, this Culture Day becomes even more meaningful in expanding exchanges, cooperation, and promoting creativity. , especially in countries with creative cities in the same field as Hoi An like the RoK.
