On the afternoon of September 16, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Tran Thi Dieu Thuy held a meeting with Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam – RoK Entrepreneurs and Investment Association (VKBIA) Tran Hai Linh, Chairman of the Gyeonggi Provincial Science and Economic Promotion Agency (GBSA) Kim Hyeon-Gon, and a delegation from Gyeonggi Province (RoK).

At the meeting, the parties discussed the potential for cooperation in the fields of investment, science and technology, innovation, training of high-quality human resources, and business connections.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Tran Thi Dieu Thuy emphasized that Ho Chi Minh City always values and appreciates the cooperation between Vietnam and RoK, especially with Gyeonggi Province, one of the leading economic, science, and technology centers of the East Asian country.
“Ho Chi Minh City is ready to create the most favorable conditions for Korean businesses to invest and cooperate,’ said Tran Thi Dieu Thuy.

She hopes that VKBIA, under the leadership of its President Tran Hai Linh will continue to promote the role of a bridge in connecting the business communities, international investors and experts, creating practical and effective networking activities, contributing to the development of Ho Chi Minh City in the following years.
In response, VKBIA President Tran Hai Linh committed to continue accompanying Ho Chi Minh City and Korean partner agencies in promoting practical cooperation on local cooperation, promoting investment, trade, technology transfer, and human resource development, and supporting the development of the cultural industry. He wishes to build projects with sustainable value, contribute positively to the development of Ho Chi Minh City, and further strengthen the Vietnam - RoK friendship.
Chairman of the Gyeonggi Provincial Economic and Science Promotion Agency Kim Hyeon-Gon said the potential for cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Gyeonggi includes many similarities. The cities play the same role as economic leaders in science and technology development and innovation, contributing to creating a solid development foundation for the cooperation between the two localities.
He proposed more frequent people-to-people exchange activities, business forums and cooperation programs for high-quality human resources training, Vietnam - RoK startup and innovation forum establishment for economic and scientific and technological connections.
"Gyeonggi Province always considers Ho Chi Minh City as an important partner in the international cooperation strategy. We are particularly interested in connecting in the fields of high technology, innovative start-ups and sustainable development. The Gyeonggi Provincial Economic and Scientific Promotion Agency is ready to coordinate with VKBIA and Ho Chi Minh City to expand specific cooperation projects, bringing practical benefits to both sides," Kim Hyeon-Gon affirmed.
The meeting has opened many new prospects, contributing to tightening economic, scientific-technological and trade cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City, VKBIA, and Gyeonggi Province (RoK), making practical contributions to the Vietnam - RoK comprehensive strategic partnership.
