“Sand boarding practices here are not regulated by any authority and locals turn into guides. It will be wise for travelers to surf here in a group as the locals asking for tips and getting violent when their demand is not met have been reported by some travel bloggers,” Wonderlist noted.
Mui Ne Dunes, located in Mui Ne precinct near Phan Thiet city in the central coastal province of Binh Thuan, stretches nearly 50 hectares. Sands on the dunes are white, red and black and their shape changes every hour if the wind is blowing. The dunes cause endless inspiration for both photographers and poets.
Other rankings on the list are Duna Grande in Ica (Peru), The Tattori Sand dune (Japan), Lucky Bay sand dune (Australia), Cerro Negro active volcano (Nicaragua), The Valle de la Muerte (Chile), the desert in Dubai, the world’s highest sand dune Sossusvlei (Namibia), Sandmaster Park (the US), and the sand dunes of Hirschau (Germany).
Earlier, the US online newspaper, Huffington Post, cited Mui Ne among top 11 most stunning places without Wi-Fi and that visitors could actually enjoy the view./.
