Over 100 students paint about Vietnam - Singapore friendship
(VNF) – Over 100 kids of age 6-15 recently took part in a painting contest held in Ho Chi Minh.City on occasion of the 45th anniversary of the Vietnam – Singapore diplomatic relations establishment (1973-2018).

The contest was jointly held by the HCM.City Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO), the Singaporean Consulate General, the Vietnam – Singapore Friendship Association and the General Science Library of the city.
Speaking at the opening address, Phan Thi Hong Xuan, Vice President of the Vietnam – Singapore Friendship Association (HCM.City) said: The young contestants' paintings demonstrate the genuine affections of the two peoples. The children's participation in the contest means that the future generation will continue building and promoting the positive values two countries have been cultivating in the last 45 years.
Leow Siu Lin, Singaporean Consul General said painting is a way to express people's perspectives on culture, aspiration, freedom and creativity.
The contest contributed to nurturing the two countries’ friendship, she noted.
The result of the contest was announced at the closing address, with 20 best contestants were honored (2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 6 third prizes and 8 consolation prizes)./.
