Overseas Vietnamese view the Congress as a significant milestone for national development

According to observations, many overseas Vietnamese affirm that the 14th Congress is not only an occasion to review the recent development journey, but also a forum for shaping major policy decisions aimed at effectively responding to a volatile international context and meeting the expectations of people at home as well as overseas Vietnamese.

Tao Ngoc Tu, a Vietnamese entrepreneur in Poland, emphasized that major policies of the Party and the State, particularly in the fields of economic development and international integration, have fostered strong confidence and opened opportunities for overseas Vietnamese to connect with the homeland, contributing to increased export turnover, the development of high-value agriculture, and enhanced competitiveness in international markets.

Many overseas Vietnamese believe that policies toward Vietnamese abroad, especially guidelines that create favorable conditions for leveraging intellect, talent, and resources, serve as a driving force for overseas Vietnamese communities to remain connected to and contribute to their homeland.

Venerable Thich Minh Quang, abbot in Laos, shared his confidence that the Party’s sound guidelines and policies have laid a foundation for overseas Vietnamese to live and work with peace of mind while preserving national cultural identity far from home. He expressed hope that the Congress would continue to strengthen humane policies, create more favorable conditions for overseas Vietnamese to participate more actively in socio-economic development, and preserve traditional cultural values across generations.

Expectations for breakthrough, reform, and integration-oriented decisions

Tran Ba Phuc, an overseas Vietnamese in Australia, stressed that the overseas Vietnamese community hopes the 14th Congress will continue to generate breakthroughs in institutions, particularly in science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, in order to enhance the competitiveness of Vietnam’s economy amid deepening integration.

Overseas Vietnamese in Australia also expressed expectations that the Congress would promote stronger international cooperation and create a more favorable environment for overseas Vietnamese to engage in investment, research connectivity, and knowledge development, contributing to Vietnam’s sustainable development and deeper integration with global partners.

The Vietnamese community in the United States, through organizations of entrepreneurs and intellectuals in the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas, has conveyed sentiments, confidence, and expectations toward the 14th Congress, viewing it as an important milestone shaping the country’s socio-economic development in the new period.

All overseas Vietnamese opinions emphasize that the 14th National Party Congress represents an opportunity to ignite the spirit of great national unity and a moment for overseas Vietnamese and people at home to jointly look toward a Vietnam that develops rapidly, sustainably, humanely, and in an integrated manner. They hope that the decisions adopted will help create a stable development environment, propel progress along the path of modernization, and preserve national cultural identity in the context of deep international integration.
