The goal of the project is to plant native tree species to restore degraded natural sand forests in the coastal areas of Central Vietnam, thereby contributing to biodiversity enhancement.
Specifically, about 13,000 native sand-dune tree species will be planted in the sandy areas of My Thuy Commune, Quang Tri Province. The project area will see improved tree cover with larger green patches, helping to create a fresher environment, limit soil erosion and sand movement, and contribute to biodiversity enhancement, climate change adaptation, and mitigation.
Primaklima e.V. is a German non-profit organization established in 1991. It operates in the fields of climate protection and biodiversity by raising funds to support afforestation and forest protection projects worldwide.
