At the same time, Vietnam has established comprehensive and strategic partnerships with many nations, including Japan.
Bui Quang Hung noted that Vietnam and Japan have maintained a long-standing comprehensive strategic partnership. Japan remains one of Vietnam’s most important economic partners, with both countries engaging in numerous initiatives to strengthen trade and investment. He emphasized that even in times of global instability, Vietnam remains a strategic and reliable partner for Japan. The country's consistent participation in global trade and ongoing efforts to strengthen its position in international value chains further reinforce its prominence.
The Secretary General also highlighted several promising areas of Vietnam-Japan cooperation, including green and environmentally friendly products, initiatives to promote national brands, and joint efforts to develop common product lines that combine Vietnam's manufacturing strengths with Japan's trusted quality. Additionally, he underscored the importance of expanding into emerging markets to further develop supply chains.
In the healthcare sector, he noted that Vietnam’s growing demand makes it a promising market for Japan’s research and development of pharmaceutical products and medical equipment.
Beyond investment potential, Hirabayashi described Vietnam as not only a smart destination for Japanese businesses but also a great place to live, citing its rich culture, friendly people, world-class cuisine, vibrant tourist attractions, and continuous improvements in education and infrastructure.
Following the conference, 27 Vietnamese enterprises took part in a dynamic trade program with Japanese businesses, forging connections with numerous potential partners across various industries. The collaboration spanned agricultural products and food, including cassava starch, dried and frozen seafood, tea, coffee, spices, cakes, and fruits, as well as mechanical and electronic components, construction materials, household goods, handicrafts, and perfumes.
