The contest was co-hosted by the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Vietnam, in coordination with relevant Japanese agencies including the Ministry of Justice, the National Police Agency, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Agency. The organizing committees included the Vietnam-Japan International Exchange Organization (FAVIJA) and the Japan-Vietnam media channel Honto TV.

The launching ceremony welcomed about 150 attendees, including representatives from the Immigration and Residence Management Agency, the National Police Agency, the Ministry of Justice of Japan, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Agency, and numerous representatives from associations, trade unions, and the Vietnamese community in Japan. Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vu Chien Thang sent a congratulation letter to the event, highly appreciating this meaningful activity.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Counselor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan Nguyen Sau said that there are nearly 700,000 Vietnamese people in Japan. The community lives harmoniously, are friendly, abide by the law, respect customs and traditions, constantly develop themselves and their careers, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the host country.

“To achieve the goal of eliminating Vietnamese law violations in Japan, disseminating legal knowledge is crucial. This contest aims to contribute to achieving the above goal,” said Nguyen Sau.

The contest was also highly appreciated by Japanese authorities for its significance, for contributing to build a Vietnamese community that respects the law, who integrate harmoniously with local residents.

Representative of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Agency Urakawa Yushi noted that this is third time this contest has been held, attracting a large number of Vietnamese people in Japan and receiving very high praise.

“In the context of the Japanese police force's efforts to create a safe and secure environment for foreigners, including Vietnamese people, this is one of the most important and meaningful events,” said Urakawa Yushi.

Speaking as a representative of Japan Immigration and Residence Management Agency - an agency responsible for managing important procedures for foreigners, Kawasaki Katsuhiro considers supporting foreigners, including the Vietnamese community in Japan, as an important task. This contest is considered a very meaningful and practical activity.

Vietnam-Japan International Exchange Organization (FAVIJA) President Do Quang Ba, stated that to facilitate widespread participation from the Vietnamese community throughout Japan, the contest will be held entirely online. All information about the contest will be posted on three platforms: the FAVIJA fanpage, the Japan-Vietnam media channel - Honto TV, and the official contest website.
