According to Ngo Tan Phuong, the province currently has 125 valid investment projects from Japanese enterprises with total registered capital of about USD 1.97 billion, ranking fourth among countries and territories investing in the province. Japanese businesses mainly operate in electronic component manufacturing, precision engineering and industrial services.
Provincial leaders highly appreciated the cooperation between JVPF and the Bac Ninh Union of Friendship Organizations in recent years, especially through programs supporting disadvantaged students and activities assisting victims of Agent Orange/dioxin.
Bac Ninh currently has 29 mountainous communes with nearly 80,000 ethnic minority students. The province also has more than 10,000 victims of toxic chemicals, many of whom still face difficulties accessing support policies.

Based on this reality, Ngo Tan Phuong expressed hope that JVPF would continue maintaining scholarship programs, charitable activities and support for Agent Orange victims, while also paying attention to supporting Vietnamese workers in Japan.
Bac Ninh also called on JVPF to further introduce Japanese businesses to investment and cooperation opportunities in the province, while expanding cultural and educational exchanges and cooperation in human resources training.
Speaking at the meeting, Kawaji Takashi expressed his impression of Bac Ninh’s economic development as well as his affection for the country and people of Viet Nam.
He said JVPF would continue studying and implementing practical support activities for Agent Orange victims in Viet Nam while promoting its role as a bridge for people-to-people exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.
