To further deepen Vietnam-Japan cooperation in the coming period, Consul General Trinh Thi Mai Phuong proposed that both sides coordinate in implementing a range of specific activities, including disseminating information on local laws and regulations to the Vietnamese community with the participation of Japanese lawyers; and organizing seminars to update the Japanese business community in the region on Vietnam’s socio-economic development, investment attraction policies, and investment environment.
Cultural exchange activities were also highlighted, including Vietnamese film screenings in Fukuoka, as well as exhibitions of photographs, paintings, and documents about Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh.
Another focus discussed was promoting connections between universities and research institutes in Fukuoka and Vietnamese educational institutions in the fields of semiconductors and high-quality human resource development. The two sides also explored the possibility of jointly organizing training programs, language exchange activities, and initiatives to help Vietnamese people improve their social integration skills in Japan, while also opening Vietnamese language and cultural classes for Japanese people interested in Vietnam.
Chapter Chairman Murakami Takahide congratulated Consul General Trinh Thi Mai Phuong on her new assignment in Fukuoka and highly appreciated the proposed cooperation initiatives. He expressed his hope to continue close coordination with the Consulate General, particularly in organizing thematic seminars in 2026 to provide the Association’s members and Japanese businesses interested in the Vietnamese market with the latest information about Vietnam.
Both sides agreed to continue promoting the role of the Fukuoka Chapter of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association as a bridge contributing to increasingly substantive and effective friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.
