The tournament was organized by the Japan-Vietnam International Exchange Organization (FAVIJA) under the patronage of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Osaka.

The tournament brought together 28 amateur Vietnamese football teams in Japan, selected from nearly 40 registered teams. Notably, several teams included Japanese players participating in friendly exchange activities, helping strengthen solidarity and cultural connections between the Vietnamese community and local residents. The teams were divided into seven groups and competed in a round-robin format before advancing to the knockout stage, which was held simultaneously across eight football pitches.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nguyen Truong Son, Consul General of Vietnam in Osaka, expressed his delight at the growing strength of the Vietnamese community in Japan in general and the Kansai region in particular. He emphasized that the tournament was not only a healthy sporting event promoting community bonds and exchanges with local residents, but also held special significance as it took place during a period when the community was commemorating President Ho Chi Minh with gratitude and respect on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

Consul General Nguyen Truong Son added that participating in sports activities also reflects President Ho Chi Minh’s teaching that “physical exercise and maintaining good health are the duty of every patriot.”
The tournament unfolded in a vibrant and friendly atmosphere between overseas Vietnamese and local residents. After a full day of exciting and dramatic matches, FC T-Connect Binh Dinh won the championship title. FC Thanh Hoa Osaka finished as runners-up, while FC IGA and FC 73 HD Telecom shared third place.
