Promoting Ho Chi Minh’s Diplomatic Thought in Japan

According to the Consulate General of Vietnam in Fukuoka, the program featured a photo exhibition, documentary screenings, and a seminar on Ho Chi Minh’s diplomatic thought and moral example. The event attracted around 150 participants, including representatives from local authorities, universities, Japanese friendship organizations, and members of the Vietnamese community in Central and Southern Japan and Kyushu.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Consul General in Fukuoka Trinh Thi Mai Phuong stated that the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh symbolize the aspiration for national independence, peace, international solidarity, and profound humanitarian values.
According to her, organizing the program in Hiroshima - a symbol of peace - further highlighted the contemporary significance of Ho Chi Minh’s thought on dialogue, friendship, and cooperation among nations.
The Consul General also highly appreciated the role of the Vietnamese community in Japan in preserving national cultural identity, promoting the image of Vietnam, and contributing to the Vietnam-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
At the ceremony, a representative of the Hiroshima-Vietnam Peace and Friendship Association announced a letter from Akagi Tatsuo, Chairman of the Hiroshima-Vietnam Peace and Friendship Association. In the letter, Akagi Tatsuo expressed his deep respect for President Ho Chi Minh, affirming that he was not only the leader who guided the Vietnamese people to independence and national liberation, but also a symbol of peace, friendship, and resilient determination in the cause of national development.
During the seminar titled “Ho Chi Minh - Diplomatic Thought and Contemporary Values,” Vietnamese and Japanese speakers exchanged views on Ho Chi Minh’s diplomatic thought and proposed various avenues for bilateral cooperation in science and technology, artificial intelligence (AI), the semiconductor industry, digital transformation, clean energy, and people-to-people exchanges.
The program contributed to promoting the image of President Ho Chi Minh among the Vietnamese community in Japan and Japanese friends, while also strengthening solidarity and friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
