On May 19, Vietnamese Consul General in Fukuoka Trinh Thi Mai Phuong received and held talks with the Fukuoka Chapter of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association, led by Chapter Chairman Murakami Takahide, to discuss orientations for strengthening educational and cultural cooperation, people-to-people exchanges, and support for the Vietnamese community in Japan.

On May 17, at the Higashihiroshima City General Welfare Center in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Fukuoka, in coordination with the Vietnamese Association in Central and Southern Japan, the Hiroshima-Vietnam Peace and Friendship Association, and the Vietnamese Youth and Student Association in Hiroshima, organized a program commemorating the 136th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh under the theme “Diplomatic thought and contemporary values.”

The launch ceremony for the Vietnamese language proficiency test and the announcement of the establishment of the Vietnamese Proficiency Examination Council in Japan took place on May 17 at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Osaka, Japan. The event marked the first time a Vietnamese language proficiency test based on Vietnam’s national standards has been organized overseas.
