The tournament is organized by the Vietnam Japan International Exchange Organization (FAVIJA) under the patronage of the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan.

This year’s event will feature 32 teams that achieved top results in regional tournaments organized by FAVIJA across Japan since April, with a total of 160 teams competing from the qualifying rounds.

As the largest annual sporting event for the Vietnamese community in Japan, the tournament serves as a platform to connect and strengthen solidarity among Vietnamese expatriates, as well as to promote friendship and exchange with Japanese people.

Do Quang Ba, Chairman of FAVIJA, said that through this tournament, the organizing committee plans to launch a fundraising campaign to support people in Vietnam affected by recent natural disasters and floods.

Nguyen Duc Hoang from the FC Hoang Hai team shared: “We are very excited to participate in this tournament. Beyond the spirit of sportsmanship, we are moved to know that the organizers will launch a fundraising drive to help our compatriots in Vietnam who are suffering from storm and flood damage.”

Nguyen Huu Tin from the FC T-Connect Binh Dinh team said: “We have prepared carefully for this competition because it brings together the strongest Vietnamese teams from across Japan. In addition to competing for the championship, we also hope to contribute to fundraising efforts to support people in Vietnam who are struggling due to floods and storms.”

The tournament promises to bring a lively atmosphere to this day of sports, embodying the humanistic tradition and the spirit of “the good leaves protect the worn ones,” as young overseas Vietnamese continue to look toward and support their homeland.
