Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Phan Huu Thang, President of the Finance Sub-Association of Vietnam Industrial Zones, emphasized that this cooperation agreement not only carries economic significance but also reflects a strategic vision in the transfer of modern technologies, aimed at fostering green industries, circular economy models, and sustainable agriculture.

According to the contents of the memorandum of understanding, the two sides agreed to cooperate in key areas including: the transfer of heavy industrial machinery and equipment serving production and manufacturing in Vietnam’s industrial zones; the development of technologies for producing functional foods and herbal-based agricultural products; and joint efforts to promote investment in “Vietnamese Eco-Village” models, designed to build green, clean, and environmentally friendly living spaces while preserving national cultural identity amid international integration.
In addition, both sides reached a consensus on strengthening business exchanges, training high-quality human resources, and facilitating Vietnamese enterprises’ access to Japan’s advanced technologies. This initiative is considered consistent with global development trends, as both countries are working toward the shared goals of green growth and sustainable development.
At the event, Ngo Trinh Ha, Consul General of Vietnam in Osaka, expressed his delight at the increasingly close cooperation between Vietnamese community organizations and associations in Japan and their local partners. He highlighted that the proactive engagement of Vietnamese associations and enterprises serves as a vital driving force in enhancing economic, cultural, and technological collaboration between the two nations, while also promoting the image of Vietnamese people as dynamic, creative, and socially responsible.

On this occasion, Consul General Ngo Trinh Ha, on behalf of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka, presented Certificates of Commendation to the Vietnam-Japan Economic and Cultural Promotion Association and several outstanding member organizations in recognition of their positive contributions to business networking, community support, and the advancement of Vietnam-Japan friendship.
According to the organizers, the signing ceremony marks not merely a formal commitment but a practical step toward implementation through tangible projects in 2026. These include the transfer of heavy industrial production lines, joint research on producing functional foods from Vietnamese medicinal herbs in Japan, and pilot construction of “Vietnamese Eco-Villages” in selected localities.
With a long-term vision and a spirit of substantive cooperation, both sides expect that this agreement will open up new opportunities for partnership in investment, technology transfer, and sustainable development, contributing positively to the country’s modernization process and enhancing Vietnam’s position in the global value chain.
