Recognition to Chairman of Kazakhstan’s Source Invest Company
(VNF) - On the afternoon of February 22nd, Oralbek Botbay, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Source Invest Company (Kazakhstan) has been awarded with the medal ‘For the cause of Peace and Friendship among Nations’ by Bui Khac Son, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO).
Attending the ceremony, was Ambassador to Kazakhstan Doan Thi Xuan Hien; Pham Thi Thai, Member of VUFO Standing Committee, Head of the Europe Department; and other VUFO’s leaders and staff.

At the conferral ceremony, Son thanked Oralbek Botbay for his contribution in promoting exchanges and cooperation between Vietnam and Kazakhstan. He actively campaigned Kazakh people have special feelings for Vietnam to coordinate with the Vietnamese Embassy in Kazakhstan to organise friendship exchanges with the Vietnamese community in the country; organised visits to work with businesses in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Bac Ninh Province; assisted the art exchange on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations; provided funding for the translation of the book introducing President Ho Chi Minh's life and career into Kazakh.
Botbay also actively supported the organisation of cultural and artistic exchange activities on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of ASEAN and Vietnam Day in the framework of activities at Expo Astana 2017.
Son hopes that Botbay will continue to act as a bridge with the Vietnamese Embassy in Kazakhstan to boost people-to-people exchanges and cooperation between businesses of the two countries.

For his part, Oralbek Botbay highly appreciates the prestigious medal, the highest award of VUFO, considering this as a great honor. He shares affection and special feeling for the country and people of Vietnam. From a young age, he has supported Vietnam in the wartime, and now he has always been active in promoting exchanges and cooperation between the two peoples. Oralbek affirmed that, in 2018, he would continue to act as a bridge between the two countries' businesses and actively promote exchanges between Vietnam and Kazakhstan./.
