Renowned Foreign, Domestic Artists to Join Hue International Music Week

The Hue International Music Week 2023 titled “Four Seasons Melody” will take place from December 8 to 12 at Ngo Mon Gate (Noon Gate) in the ancient capital of Hue, VOV citied the organizers of the Hue Festival 2023.

The event is expected to see the participation of several renowned names in international contemporary music scene, including pop stars from the Wallonia-Bruxelles delegation of Belgium, Andrienne Mack-Davis and DJ Julian Heughan, aka 32french, from the US, French songwriter and singer Sébastien Tellier and electro-pop singer and songwriter Malik Djoudi, as well as Korean jazz singer Young Joo Song.

In which, as American Art Envoys, Andrienne Mack-Davis and 32french will also be performing at the US – Vietnam Friendship Festival, and the BridgeFest Music Festival 2023.

Furthermore, popular Vietnamese singer and bands such as Trong Hieu, the Nine Family Hue group, the Redlight band, and Limebócx music band will also perform at the function.

The Hue International Music Week is part of the Hue Festival 2023, which aims to become a new contemporary music event in Thua Thien-Hue during the winter, and to contribute to developing local tourism.

The festival is expected to provide an ideal venue for domestic artists to learn from their experience in working and performing alongside international musicians.

It will be held along with the “Hue By Light” programme, due to take place on the night of December 12 at Ngo Mon Gate.

The show, to be co-hosted by the French Embassy in co-ordination with Thua Thien-Hue province, aims to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and Vietnam.

This event focuses on four seasons, Art Nouveau associated with Vietnamese traditional oil painting art, Art Deco, minimalism with dragon, phoenix and plants symbolizing Hue culture. At Hue by Light - The live show, visitors will enjoy electronic music performed by famous musicians, singers, and composers.

In addition to invitation tickets, Hue by light - The live show will welcome about 10.000 habitants and visitors.
