Governor of Russia’s Saint-Petersburg A.D.Beglov has sent a letter of congratulations to President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) Nguyen Phuong Nga on the occasion of the organisation’s 70^th founding anniversary.

In his letter, Beglov said under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, VUFO has made significant contributions to promoting Vietnam’s image in the international arena.

Saint-Petersburg spoke highly of VUFO’s efforts in consolidating relations and friendship, he said, stressing that cooperation with Vietnam is one of the priorities in the foreign policy of Saint-Petersburg.

Beglov thanked Nga for accepting the invitation to attend and deliver a speech at the workshop that wrap up the Vietnam-Russia and Russia-Vietnam Year, to be held online on December 11.

Concluding the letter, the Governor wished the VUFO President and staff more achievements, wealth, prosperity and contributions, for the interests of Vietnamese people./.
