Salsa Night Fever 2019 with Grupo Compay Segundo in Hanoi, HCMC
|
In a series of cross-cultural events called "PointARTS", initiated by Patrick Désir & Friends - Salsa Night Fever is held once a year in Hanoi and Saigon for music audiophiles who fall for captivating and emotional moves and melody. Salsa - a combination of dance from the Caribbean, Latin and North America - draws on the wide range of what Cuba has to offer in the realm of music and dance. Convivial by nature, your instinct and passion will be awaken and your energy released. More than anything, it'll be a great way to socialize, meet new people and exchange with different cultures.
Participating in Salsa Night Fever 2019 is the true master of words and music, Grupo Compay Segundo. Over many decades, Grupo Compay Segundo has become one of the most notorious Cuban symbols, diffusing its natal culture beyond seas and borders. They not only continue to play some of the most emblematic songs of the genre such as the legendary ‘’Chan Chan’’ written by COMPAY, they also expand their musical performance to bring fans and audiences closer to the sound of other great artists such as Omara Portuondo, Eliades Ochoa, Charles Aznavour, Teresa Garcia Caturla, Isaac Delgado, Lou Bega.
For all those who wish to experience a truly positive, communal event and let the qualities of music and dance transport them, this once in a lifetime opportunity to hear the iconic Salsa melody played by the official ambassador of Cuban music all over the world: Grupo Compay Segundo.
The show will begin at 7pm in Hanoi’s Youth Theater at 11 Ngo Thi Nham street on November 27 and in HCM City’s Army Theater at 140 Cong Hoa, Ward 04, Tan Binh District on November 30.
