Senior lieutenant-general To Lam appointed Central Public Security Party Committee Secretary
The Central Public Security Party Committee on May 4th worked with the Office of the Party Central Committee to announce the decision by the Politburo on the appointment of senior lieutenant-general To Lam, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security as Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee.

During the announcement ceremony, Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member and permanent member of the Secretariat, noted that the appointment marked the appreciation of the Party, State and people towards the national construction and protection.
He said he believed that Mr. Lam will promote his ability and intelligence to serve the Party, State and people, together with the Central Public Security Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, to successfully realise the mission of ensuring national security, maintaining social order and security, and building up elite, pure and strong police forces.
Mr. Lam expressed his pleasure to receive confidence and be assigned the position, pledging that he will bring into play all his ability, intelligence and responsibility to successfully realise the missions assigned by the Party, State and people./.
