According to Nguyen Ngoc Hung, SNV was among the very first organizations to accompany Vietnam in its national development path. The story of SNV is also a shining example of the strong and enduring friendship that binds the Vietnamese and the Dutch people. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1973, the two nations have cultivated a dynamic and trustworthy partnership built on shared values and a common vision for a sustainable and prosperous future. In this remarkable journey, Dutch NGOs like SNV have been indispensable, not only providing crucial technical expertise, fostering innovation and driving inclusive growth, but also significantly contributing to promoting people-to-people relations. By bringing Dutch and international friends to Vietnam and bringing the story of Vietnam to the world, they have been excellent ambassadors of people-to-people relations over the years.
Today, Vietnam stands at the cusp of the era of the nation's rise. In order to achieve development goals, the country needs continued cooperation and support from international friends, donors, including NGOs such as SNV in the years to come. Nguyen Ngoc Hung hopes that SNV will continue to coordinate with the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Committee for Foreign Non-Governmental Organization Affairs. The Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations pledges to continue supporting SNV's activities in Vietnam.
