Solemn and luxurious Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral
Through 135 years, the Saigon Duc Ba (Notre-Dame) Cathedral has been solemnly luxurious and magnificent.
Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, officially Basilica of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception is a cathedral located in the Paris Square in downtown Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam, attracting not only Catholics but also many tourists for its neo-Romanesque style architecture and sacred atmosphere.
Established by French colonists, and modeled on the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France, the cathedral was constructed between 1863 and 1880. It has two bell towers, reaching a height of over 58 meters. Following the French conquest of Cochinchina and Saigon, the Roman Catholic Cathedral established a community and religious services for French colonialists.

When completed, Saigon Notre-Dame Cathedral was thought to be the most beautiful in all the French colonies.
The cathedral was constructed between 1877 and 1880.
