On January 15, at the conference reviewing people-to-people diplomacy work in Nghe An, the report notes that in 2025, the Nghe An Union of Friendship Organizations will align its activities closely with the province's political tasks and socio-economic development goals to organize practical, effective diplomatic activities.

The Union will strengthen external information services about major national and significant Vietnam-international events. It will prioritize consolidating traditional partnerships to increase effectiveness and practical engagement while seeking and expanding new partnerships. Additionally, the Union will serve as a bridge to foster friendly relations and promote cooperation in investment, trade, tourism, humanitarian aid, and labor export.
Besides, the Union will enhance interactions to attract aid from foreign non-governmental organizations, associations, and business organizations. It will also mobilize small-scale projects and funding from Nghe An expatriates and philanthropists abroad to contribute to the province’s development and humanitarian initiatives.
In conclusion, Hoang Nghia Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and President of the Nghe An Union of Friendship Organizations, emphasized the importance of implementing a provincial scientific research project on "Researching, Assessing, and Proposing Solutions to Enhance the Effectiveness of People-to-People Diplomacy in Nghe An’s Socio-economic Development Strategy."
The Union will also focus on formulating plans to connect and promote foreign markets through people-to-people diplomacy, aiming to showcase Nghe An’s products and cultural identity internationally.

On January 14, the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO) held its annual conference to review its 2024 work and set objectives for 2025.
According to Ho Xuan Lam, Vice President and Secretary General of HUFO, the organization plans to collaborate with the Ho Chi Minh City Great Festival Steering Committee and the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations to host international friends for significant celebrations in 2025.
These include the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country, and the 80th anniversary of National Day.
HUFO is committed to ensuring thorough preparation and coordination with member organizations to organize peace, solidarity, and friendship activities. It will also welcome diplomatic delegations and focus on strengthening and restructuring the Executive Board of its member organizations.
Additionally, HUFO is preparing to recognize the Steering Committee for the establishment of the Vietnam - Latin America Friendship Association, moving toward the establishment of the association.
