According to a Vietnam News Agency correspondent in France, from May 19-22, the delegation of Thai Binh People's Council, led by Chairman Nguyen Tien Thanh, had a working visit to the French Republic. The visit was held within the framework of a program to promote trade and investment with countries in the European Union.
On May 20, the delegation visited Nevers (Nièvre, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté) and learned about the investment environment and cooperation opportunities with the city.
Welcoming the delegation, Mayor of Nevers, Denis Thuriot, hopes the visit will open up opportunities for cooperation between the two localities.
"We hope to establish a partnership between Thai Binh and Nevers. That will be a milestone of important historical significance. We have had open discussions between the two localities, and acknowledge that there are many areas where we have a common voice that is substantive and effective to achieve success in the economic cooperation between the two localities," said Alain Bourcier.
Nguyen Tien Thanh looks to establish multi-faceted cooperation between Thai Binh and Nevers, focusing on investment and trade exchange with local partners; promoting import and export; human resource training; and cooperation in high technology, education, training, healthcare, equipment production, and cultural exchange.
He highly appreciated the participation of businesses and partners in Nevers. Thai Binh's organizations and businesses are interested in the cooperation and investment environment of Nevers, especially in trade, green energy, digital transformation, finance, and banking, he said.
With Thai Binh's vision, potential, and development aspirations, Nguyen Tien Thanh believes that opportunities for cooperation with French partners, particularly Nevers, will be diverse and practical.
During their trip to France, the delegation of Thai Binh People's Council had a meeting with French businesses in Paris, through the connection of ABVietFrance. Chairman of Thai Binh People's Council Nguyen Tien Thanh answered questions from French businesses and invited them to visit Thai Binh to learn about the province's investment and business environment.
