(VNF) - The Republic of South Africa will celebrate the 21st anniversary of its Freedom Day on April 27th under the theme: “Celebrating the beginning of the third decade of our freedom through accelerating radical economic transformation”.

The 21st anniversary of South Africa‘s Freedom Day
The month of April will forever resonate in the history of South Africa as the month that saw the first democratic elections in 1994 and the birth of freedom and constitutional democracy. The election in 1994 marked a turning point that saw the previously disadvantaged become part of the South African political processes.

South Africa has a long standing and friendly relationship with Vietnam, which dates back to the 1950s. South Africa and Vietnam continue to work together for the growth and development of their economies and for the improvement of the quality of life of both peoples.

South Africa, through its mission in Vietnam looks back and reflects on the unparalleled support that South Africa has enjoyed from the people of Vietnam and hopes that the relationship between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and South Africa will only grow from strength to strength for many years to come./.
