UPU Shares Experience And Provides Technical Support to Vietnam

On the morning of November 24, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang received Director General of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) Masahiko Metoki who is on a working visit to Vietnam.
At the reception, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang congratulated Masahiko Metoki on being elected to the position of Director General of UPU for the 2022-2025 term.
The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that Masahiko Metoki and UPU continue to pay attention to sharing experiences and providing technical support.
This allows Vietnam to modernize and improve the competitiveness of the postal sector-one of the important and essential factors.
The Deputy Prime Minister appreciated UPU's efforts in innovating to adapt to the requirements of the digital era.
He believed that UPU would overcome difficulties and challenges to join member countries in promoting the development of the postal sector.
At the meeting, UPU Director General Masahiko Metoki appreciated the results as well as the Government's direction for developing the postal sector. He pledged that UPU would continue to share experience, expertise, and technical support with Vietnam.
Masahiko Metoki appreciated Vietnam's role in being a member of the UPU Postal Operations Council for the 2022-2025 term for the first time.
