US hospital ship to provide free knee/hip joint replacement surgeries in Khanh Hoa province
(VNF) - 60 sets of knee/hip joint will be the gifts from USNS Mercy to poor patients in Khanh Hoa province, as part of the hospital ship's medical mission in Vietnam this year.

The medical mission team of US Navy will join with other international and Vietnamese specialists and practitioners to perform free-of-charge knee/hip joint replacement for poor patients in Nha Trang city. The operation will be conducted in USNS Mercy hospital ship from May 19 to June 3.
Patients who wish to be part of this programme are advised to promptly contact the Department for Burn- Traumato – Orthopedics, Khanh Hoa provincial General Hospital for registration. The pre-surgery checkup and post-surgery treatment costs will be subsidized in accordance with current medical insurance policy.
