	General Secretary To Lam to Attend Inaugural Meeting of the Gaza Peace Council in the United States

According to domestic media reports, General Secretary To Lam arrived in Washington, D.C. on February 18 to attend the Council’s opening session at the invitation of US President Donald Trump, the founding chairman of the mechanism. The event brought together representatives from more than 50 countries - including founding members and observers, with the aim of advancing peace, coordinating humanitarian assistance, and supporting reconstruction efforts in the Middle East.

An article published in The Washington Times on February 19 commended Vietnam’s proactive contributions to global peace and stability on this occasion, viewing them as evidence of Hanoi’s renewed commitment in its foreign policy amid a volatile global landscape.
