Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association given Friendship Order
(VNF) - The Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association has been presented with the Friendship Order of the Vietnamese President in recognition of its contribution to the two countries’ friendship and cooperation over the past two decades.

On behalf of the State President, Vice President in-charge and General Secretary of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) Don Tuan Phong presented the decoration to the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association at a ceremony in Hanoi on.
Mukhamedov Alisher Rustamovich expressed his honor and pride when his association being awarded the noble rewards from the President of Vietnam.
He also expressed his sincere thanks to the VUFO, the Vietnam-Uzbekistan Friendship Association (VUFA) and Vietnamese friends for supporting the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association over the past time.
The Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association was officially established in 1999, the premise of a group of Uzbek people who love Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh since the American war. These inpiduals have actively voiced their support for the war of national liberation and unification of the Vietnamese people, ensuring the receipt and support of Vietnamese students, and laborers when they studied and worked in Uzbekistan.
Since its inception, the association has regularly organised events to explore the traditions and cultural practices of the two peoples and to cooperate in promoting information on cultural and scientific- technical cooperation between the partners in the cities, regions of Uzbekistan and Vietnam as well as between the government, local authorities and organisations to take advantage of and promote the capabilities for people's external affairs.

The association regularly welcoms Vietnamese delegations and inpiduals visit and expand cooperation with Uzbekistan partners and organises working delegations visit to Vietnam.
It also organises art performances, television shows, film screenings, art and photo exhibitions, sporting events celebrating two countries’ major holidays.
In addition, the association organises conferences, seminars on cultural-educational relations, explores the traditional culture of the Vietnamese nation, promotes the achievements of Uzbekistan in the fields of culture, technology, science and education.
On the occasion, the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association mounted an exhibition on charming Uzbek landscape and people./.
