According to Truong Thi Hien, Viet Nam-Cuba relations are a special model in international relations, not merely diplomatic ties between two countries but also a bond of comradeship and brotherhood, forged through war, hardship and difficult years. This is a selfless and pure form of international solidarity, rare in human history, transcending geographical distance and changes of the times to become an invaluable spiritual asset of the two nations.
Over the years, the Viet Nam-Cuba Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City has consistently served as a reliable bridge between the peoples of the two countries, working closely with the Cuban Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City to carry out many diverse, practical and meaningful activities. Programs of cultural exchange, education on traditions for the younger generation, friendship meetings, exhibitions, seminars, children’s drawing contests, as well as humanitarian and charitable activities have helped bring the image of a resilient and compassionate Cuba closer to the city’s residents.
The Viet Nam-Cuba Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City affirmed that it will continue to renew the content and methods of its activities, expand its network of friends, and attract greater participation from the younger generation so that Viet Nam-Cuba friendship will continue to be nurtured with new vitality and renewed enthusiasm.
