Addressing the event, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Vietnam, Uladzimir Baravikou, underscored the special significance of July 3, a day when the Belarusian people commemorate those who sacrificed their lives for the country's independence and freedom and contributed to the defeat of fascism.
The Ambassador noted that after 35 years of development, Belarus has become a modern and dynamic nation with significant growth potential. He expressed Belarus' desire to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation with Vietnam based on friendship, mutual trust, and understanding as the two countries implement the Strategic Partnership established on May 12, 2025.
He also highlighted the positive momentum in bilateral relations over the past year, marked by the launch of direct flights and increased exchanges through political, diplomatic, economic, and people-to-people channels.
Ambassador Baravikou expressed confidence that Vietnam and Belarus possess enormous untapped potential for cooperation. Through joint efforts, the two countries can overcome challenges, achieve new milestones in bilateral relations, and deliver more tangible cooperation outcomes in the coming year.

On behalf of the Vietnamese Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang extended congratulations to the Government and people of Belarus on the occasion of the country's 35th National Day.
She emphasized that nearly seven decades have passed since President Ho Chi Minh's first visit to Belarus in 1957, during which the friendship between the two peoples has been preserved and nurtured, becoming a valuable shared asset. Vietnam greatly appreciates the support provided by the Belarusian people during its past struggle for national independence and reunification, as well as in its ongoing process of national development.
According to Deputy Minister Hang, since Vietnam and Belarus elevated their ties to a Strategic Partnership in May 2025 during General Secretary To Lam's visit to Belarus, bilateral cooperation has made significant progress across a wide range of areas, including politics, diplomacy, economy, trade, education, transportation, and aviation.
She stressed that in the new stage of development, both countries should make more effective use of their complementary strengths and potential to support their respective national development goals while contributing to peace and prosperity in their respective regions and around the world.
Deputy Minister Hang expressed confidence that, building on the strong foundation of traditional friendship and the achievements already attained, the Vietnam-Belarus Strategic Partnership will continue to grow more substantively and practically, bringing tangible benefits to the peoples of both countries.
