Vietnam presents 10,000 masks to Azerbaijan’s COVID-19 battle

The symbolic handover ceremony was held at Azerbaijan Embassy to Vietnam in Hanoi.
Chairman of the Vietnam - Azerbaijan Friendship Association Nghiem Vu Khai led a delegation visited Azerbaijan embassy and handed over the medical masks worth over VND 55 million (USD 2.342).
They were contributed through a two-day fundraising campaign by the Friendship Association's members and individuals who studied and worked in Azerbaijan.
According to Chairman of the Vietnam - Azerbaijan Friendship Association Nghiem Vu Khai, two days earlier, the Association also donated VND 25 million (USD 1.064) to three Azerbaijani people who had lost their jobs due to COVID-19 epidemic in Phu Quoc island.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Vietnam Anar Imanov, on behalf of the Government of Azerbaijan, received this valuable support and thanked the Association for their heart-felt support, noting the gifts continues to be a shining milestone to the solidarity, friendship and close bonds between the two peoples.
"I believe our friendship will last forever", the Ambassador expressed.
Sharing with Thoi Dai (Vietnam Times) Magazine, Ambassador Anar Imanov highly appreciated the actions and measures of the Vietnamese Government in the prevention and control of COVID-19. "Not only for me but for many people, Vietnam is a successful anti-epidemic story. I have been coming to Vietnam for almost 8 years and at the time of COVID-19 epidemic, I still always feel safe to live in this country," he shared.
The two sides agreed to transfer relief masks to the universities of Azerbaijan, where Vietnamese students were once studied.
