Participants will discuss issues about capacity building/safety rules reinforcement, and standard operational procedures and responses during the presentations of fire rescue teams from the region.
Vietnam, as other ASEAN nations, is strongly affected by the damages caused by urban fires. Human casualties and economical damages are significant. Furthermore, access and action fields of fire rescue teams are limited due to narrow streets, high-rise buildings or villas and unavailable emergency exits. Outbreaks of fire are mainly caused because of non-respect of safety regulations, the dilapidation of some buildings as well as extremely inflammable material used for construction./.
