At the meeting, Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang expressed his admiration for the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, and highly appreciated the efforts of President Daniel Froschauer and artists in expanding touring activities in Asia. The Ambassador emphasized that bringing classic music closer to the public not only contributes to enriching spiritual life but also a cultural bridge, promoting exchanges between countries.

The Ambassador introduced the socio-economic development as well as the increasingly vibrant cultural and artistic life in Vietnam. He especially mentioned prominent symphony orchestras such as the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra, the Sun Symphony Orchestra. There are international standard performing arts centers such as the Ho Guom Theater, the Hanoi Opera House and the National Convention Center, he added. On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed his desire for the Vienna Symphony Orchestra to soon have a tour in Vietnam.

In response, President Daniel Froschauer introduced that the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1842 in Vienna, has collaborated with many legendary conductors such as Hans Richter, Gustav Mahler, Karl Böhm and Herbert von Karajan. The orchestra is considered the national musical symbol of Austria. One of the orchestra's most prominent performances is the New Year's Concert, which is broadcast live to more than 90 countries every morning from the Golden Concert Hall of the Vienna Symphony Theater.

Daniel Froschauer affirmed that music always has a noble mission of connecting people, crossing national boundaries to convey the message of peace and friendship. The Vienna Symphony Orchestra has toured many Asian countries such as Japan, South Korea, China and always wants to perform in Vietnam - a country with a rich cultural tradition and a public that loves classical music.

In the upcoming time, the two sides agreed to continue close discussions to move forward with the plan to organize the Vienna Symphony Orchestra's tour in Vietnam.
