Vietnam to start phase 3 trial of Nano Covax Covid vaccine
On Thursday, the Vietnam Military Medical University has officially begun phase 3 study on Vietnam’s Covid-19 vaccine, Nano Covax, developed by Nanogen Pharmaceutical Biotechnology.
According to the university, volunteers who got the jabs in phase 1 and phase 2 are 100% immune against SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Nano Covax vaccine is one of the three Covid-19 vaccines that are being developed domestically by Vietnam, and so far it has had the most research progress.
In Phase 3, Nano Covax vaccine will be tested at various centers, with about 13,000 volunteers being given shots.
In the North, the vaccine will be clinically tested at Vietnam Military Medical University and Hung Yen Province, along with Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City and Long An.
Nano Covax made by Nanogen Pharmaceutical Biotechnology in May, 2020, was based on recombinant protein technology. This is a stable vaccine production technology that have been used for a long time.

Until now, the Nano Covax vaccine has been through Phase 1 and 2 clinical testing, with phase 1 starting on Dec. 18, 2020 and Phase 2 in Feb. 26, 2021.
| The Ministry of Health confirmed 41 new Covid-19 cases in four localities Friday morning, raising the ongoing coronavirus wave's tally to 6,637. Northern Bac Giang Province detected 23 cases in quarantined and locked down areas. All are linked to infected workers at industrial parks.
