The Lancet Global Health Commission on Universal Access to Patient-Centered Care was established by Harvard Medical School, Center for Primary Health Care. The Committee members are selected from leading experts in various fields around the world such as: health management, policy making, scholars, researchers, representatives of social organizations or private partners.

Information shared on the website of Harvard Medical School on October 10 (local time) noted that participants in this important mission will work to improve health care with the focus on patients on a global scale. This is to ensure that health systems are deployed, organized and delivered in a people-oriented and human-centered way, further emphasizing common efforts to achieve universal health coverage and health equity in health care.
This year, among the 34 members of the committee, the two Vietnamese representatives are Dr. Ha Anh Duc and Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Bach. Duc is the Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management (Ministry of Health), Chairman of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association. On the other hand, Bach is the Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association.
Vietnam Young Physicians Association is a voluntary social-professional organization of young Vietnamese physicians striving for the development of young physicians and the cause of protecting, caring for and improving people's health. It aims to unite and gather young Vietnamese physicians at home and abroad, contributing to fostering and promoting the potential, knowledge and efforts of young physicians striving for the cause of protecting, caring for and improving people's health.
