Referee Le Thi Ly from Ho Chi Minh City and assistant referee Ha Thi Phuong from the northern port city of Hai Phong, will be placed in charge of the match between the women's national football teams of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and Japan.
The match is scheduled to take place in Pyongyang, the DPRK, on February 24.
This is a match between two of the strongest teams in Asia. The Japanese women's football team is also among the top strongest women's teams in the world. Therefore, the fact that referee Le Thi Ly was trusted by FIFA to give the opportunity to be the main referee of this match is an honor and gradually affirms the capacity of Vietnamese referees in the region.
