Two-way trade development opportunity

According to Mai Ngoc Thai, director of Vinaconex Mart Company: Vietnam's 24-hour retail market is still underdeveloped while Japan has a lot of experience and strengths in this field.

Vinaconex Mart wishes to find reasonable products, effective Japanese models applied to Vietnam's 24-hour retail market. Thai said Vinaconex Mart wishes to bring good products of Vietnam to Japanese consumers. The company can cooperate with Vietnamese enterprises in Japan and Japanese enterprises in terms of two-way trade.

Bui Van Thieng, director of Saigon-Phu Tho Beer Joint Stock Company, said that the 333 Beer, product of Saigon Beer-Alcohol-Beverage Corporation (Sabeco) has now approached the Japanese market, although the market share is not much.

Thieng expressed his desire to export Vietnamese beer to Japan. He said Vietnamese beer has met the requirements of quality, food safety, hygiene, and also enjoys preferential prices when exporting.

Mori Kazuki, head of Food Force said that his business manufactures and processes Vietnamese foods in Japan, developing under the Vietnam Deli brand.

The brand's concept is the authentic Vietnamese traditional taste. However, the product is manufactured with modern Japanese technology. Food Force has imported a number of Vietnamese products to serve food production and processing such as fish sauce and coffee.

Food Force's goal is to bring Vietnamese products to supermarket chains in Japan. Food Force wishes to cooperate with Vietnamese businesses to realize this goal, thereby cementing Vietnam-Japan relations through cuisine.

Mori Kazuki said that the Japanese beer market has a lot of potential and will aim to develop non-alcoholic and low-alcohol beer. Mori Kazuki said he would discuss in detail about cooperation in the production and development of Vietnamese beer in the Japanese market with Saigon-Phu Tho Beer Joint Stock Company.

Cooperation to support Vietnamese workers

Vu Minh Phu, head of Vinaconex MEC, said that the demand of Vietnamese workers to work in Japan is great. This is an opportunity for businesses operating in human resource supply.

However, the operation process of many enterprises has revealed shortcomings in labor quality as well as organizational problems, leading to difficulties for stakeholders as well as unfair competition. Vinaconex MEC wishes to develop the field of supplying high-quality labor from Vietnam to Japan, with effective cooperation models between businesses.

Representative of Vinaconex MEC proposed the Vietnam Business Association in Japan to create career opportunities for Vietnamese workers.

At the same time, the Association plays a practical role in supporting and developing business activities of enterprises, aiming to be the focal point to receive information related to the Vietnamese workers in Japan.

Enterprises and production facilities in Japan, when wishing to receive Vietnamese workers, can also directly contact the Association.

Many businesses at the Conference also agreed that there is a need for a focal point to receive information in Japan and connect with Vietnamese businesses. This is to have more specific and practical support activities for Vietnamese workers when they come to work in Japan.

Bui Khac Son, director of Vietnam-Japan Cooperation Center (VJCC) said that the Center will coordinate to organize many Vietnam-Japan trade promotion conferences. These conferences allow businesses of the two sides to meet, exchange and share information towards cooperation and development.
