Vietnamese Pho Stands out at ASEAN Cuisine Promotion Festival

At the event, guests said Pho has a balanced flavor and delicate ingredients, combining vibrant flavor and freshness to stimulate diners' taste buds.

The event attracted the participation of chefs from famous restaurants and hotels of ASEAN member countries in Prague. Many diplomatic guests in the Czech Republic also attended the event.

Many typical dishes of Southeast Asia were introduced such as Laab Gai (Thailand), Pho (Vietnam), Suman (Philippines), Bebek Betutu (Indonesia), Roji Jaja & and Kari Ayam (Malaysia), and Shwe Htamin (Myanmar).

Under the dedicated and detailed guidance of the chef, the diplomatic guests directly process ingredients and prepare the traditional dishes, thereby them understand the typical flavors of dishes from Southeast Asian countries. The chefs of the Vietnamese delegation introduced to Czech friends and ASEAN countries how to prepare, process and enjoy Vietnamese Pho.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Duong Hoai Nam highly appreciated the initiative of the ASEAN Committee in Prague to promote the culinary cultural quintessence of Southeast Asia to local people and international friends.

The Ambassador introduced Pho as one of the signature dishes from Vietnam, chosen to represent Vietnam on the world culinary map. The sophistication and richness of Vietnamese food require the chef to have appropriate techniques and a skillful combination of ingredients to master.

Along with the development of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic, Vietnamese cuisine is also becoming increasingly popular. More Vietnamese restaurants are launched in the Czech Republic.
