VUFO's Delegates Visit Quang Trung Museum in Binh Dinh Province
On the session of the 2023 National Conference on People-to-people Diplomatic Affairs in Binh Dinh province, a delegation of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) came to offer incense and flowers at Quang Trung Museum.
The delegation led by Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, president of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations ( VUFO ), offered flowers at the statue of Emperor Quang Trung (also known as national hero Nguyen Hue), and offered incense at the Tay Son Tam Kiet Temple to pay respects and honor the great merits of the national hero, the literary officials and martial generals of the Tay Son dynasty in the cause of national construction and defense.

Quang Trung museum was built in his native village, Kien My, 40km west of Quy Nhon city. Inaugurated in 1978, it is one of the largest museums dedicated to famous Vietnamese personalities. It is also one of the busiest attracting researchers and tourists. In the museum, the Tay Son shrine, which worships the heroes of the Tay Son movement, was the first stop of visitors.

In the temple grounds, there is also an ancient tamarind tree, which is said to have been planted by the father of the three Tay Son brothers, Ho Phi Phuc, nearly 300 years ago. The tree is 24m high, with a trunk diameter of 1.2m, a root diameter of 3.9m and has been recognized as a heritage tree by the Vietnam Association for Nature and Environment Protection in 2011.

Martial arts and military drum playing performances are considered the two intangible heritages of Tay Son. Tay Son martial arts music consists of 12 drums, representing the 12 zodiac animals. The military drums is divided into three parts. The first indicates the departure of soldiers. At this time, the pace is rather moderate. The second part is entitled "besiege the citadel." The pace picks up. The last part is a triumphant song, expressing great joy.

In 1789, under the leadership of Emperor Quang Trung, Tay Son troops defeated 290,000 Qing invaders, liberating the imperial city of Thang Long and regaining national independence and freedom.
