Today (31 October) marks 20 years since the United Nations Security Council adopted Resolution 1325 (UNSCR1325) on women and peace and security- the first resolution to recognise women’s leadership and contribution to achieve international peace and security.

Vietnamese Engineering Team Completes 37-km Strategic Road in South Sudan in 85 Days
The 37-km Abyei-Agok strategic road in the Abyei area (South Sudan) has been completed and handed over to local authorities and the UNISFA mission by Vietnam’s Engineering Unit Rotation 4 after 85 days of construction, 35 days ahead of schedule. The project was described by the Mission Force Commander as an “unprecedented achievement” since the establishment of UNISFA.
