WVI: Bringing warmth to needy children in Thanh Hoa province
(VNF) – Thousands items of warm clothes and blankets – donated by Korean company Young One reached needy children in two poor areas of Thanh Hoa province – Ba Thuoc and Quan Son on Feb 11. World Vision Vietnam (WVI) was in charge of delivering the goods.
The gifts, consisting of large amount of warm clothes and blanket were distributed to needy children at Community Center of Dien Quang ward, Ba Thuoc district. The total value of the gifts is estimated at over USD80,000.

On behalf of the Korean firm, Jinkook Kim, General Director of Young One Ltd Company in Nam Dinh presented the gifts – warm clothes, which were produced by Young One to the representative of the needy. These clothes reached the needy in time helped ensure their well-being when the weather was getting colder.
According to Lo Van Thang, Deputy Chair of Ba Thuoc district people’s committee, approximately 10,000 people from his district and Quan Son district have been benefited from the aid, including over 4,000 children and 4,000 handicapped and poor people.

Jinkook Kim expressed his hope that Young One’s products will help relieve the hardships which local underprivileged households are struggling with.
Thanh Thi Ha, Country director of WVI Vietnam highly appreciated the dedication of Young One in joining charitable activities over the past one decade, which are incorporated in the Area development project of WVI Vietnam. “Besides helping meet with the basic need of the poor for warm clothings and blankets in winter, the gift represents a gesture of love which is making difference in the recipients' lives.”

Apart from Ba Thuoc and Quan Son in Thanh Hoa province, 5 districts, namely: Dien Bien Dong, Tua Chua, Muong Cha, Tuan Giao (Dien Bien province) and Na Hang (Tuyen Quang) were other beneficiaries from this project. Total value of the clothes and blankets they received was over USD300,000.

Nowadays Young One VN has factories in three provinces: Nam Dinh, Hung Yen, Bac Giang, creating employment opportunities for over 12,000 people in the localities./.
