The People’s Committee of Y Ty commune (Lao Cai) has officially issued a Plan of Organising the 2026 Y Ty commune Autumn Festival Plan themed “Y Ty - The Attraction of the Great Forest”, taking place from the end of August to the middle of September 2026.

The festival will take place from August 22 to November 15, 2026, be a series of large-scale cultural, sporting, and tourism activities aimed at promoting Y Ty’s natural beauty, ripening rice season, seas of clouds, ethnic cultural identities, and distinctive local agricultural products. The event also demonstrates the locality’s determination to develop the Y Ty Autumn Festival into an annual event, contributing to sustainable tourism and socio-economic development.

This year’s festival will feature 5 key activities: Experiencing tea picking and processing, cuisine culture themed “Sim San flavours and colors”, Traditional costume performance Contest for ethnic groups in Y Ty commune, the Opening Ceremony of the “Y Ty - The Attraction of Great Forest”, the 2026 “Y Ty Golden Season” running race, and the first Lao Than mountain Climbing 2026.

The highlight of the festival will be the official opening ceremony on September 12 at the central market area of Y Ty commune. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in a distinctive cultural space featuring OCOP booths, local agricultural products, art performances, folk games, cultural showcases from 10 villages, and experiences of the traditional culture of the Ha Nhi ethnic community in Choan Then village.

The meeting aimed to review implementation progress, discuss the Year 3 activity plan, and propose budget allocations for several sub-projects.
