10 Years of Friendship between Nam Tra My and Hamyang District (RoK): Testament to Solidarity and Shared Development

At the ceremony, Tran Van Man, Chairman of the Nam Tra My Commune People's Committee, stated that over the past decade, the two localities have organized numerous working visits to foster mutual understanding, learning, and experience-sharing. Hamyang District has supported the construction of a kindergarten for children in Tra Linh Commune and presented meaningful gifts, leaving a lasting impression on the people of Nam Tra My and schoolchildren ahead of the new academic year.

On August 1, 2024, the two sides signed a sisterhood agreement, aiming for new goals based on mutual cooperation and development. Nam Tra My Commune, along with its sister communes Tra Tap, Tra Van, Tra Leng, and Tra Linh, will continue to implement the commitments made with Hamyang District.

Tran Van Man proposed that Hamyang District continue to facilitate the reception of 300 to 500 workers annually to help address its agricultural labor shortage while creating employment opportunities for residents from the five communes of Nam Tra My, Tra Linh, Tra Tap, Tra Leng, and Tra Van.

Hamyang District Governor Jin Byung Young expressed his pleasure at participating in the 7th Ngoc Linh Ginseng Festival and his appreciation for the warm welcome extended by the authorities of Nam Tra My Commune and the former Nam Tra My District communes.

Jin Byung Young pledged to continue the cooperative program and enhance labor support for the five communes through seasonal employment in Hamyang. Currently, Hamyang District has built an additional dormitory area to accommodate seasonal workers from Nam Tra My, Tra Tap, Tra Van, Tra Linh, and Tra Leng for upcoming work opportunities.

On this occasion, the two sides jointly organized a commemorative tree planting program at Nam Tra My Commune Park, planting 20 crape myrtle trees. Nam Tra My Commune also decided to name the park "Nam Tra My - Hamyang Friendship Park" as a symbol of their solidarity, exchange, and joint development.
