A representative of the association handed over and introduced techniques to plant 200 cherry trees.
Asaduma Sinnichi, Minister at the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, said the cherry project began in 2012 and so far over 1,000 trees have been planted in many Vietnamese provinces and cities. It will carry on until one million trees are planted.
He expressed his belief that the cherry trees will become a bridge connecting the Japanese and Vietnamese people.
The plantation of cherry trees will contributed to popularising Japan’s images, culture and people to Bac Ninh residents and developing friendly bilateral relations between the two countries in general as well as between Bac Ninh province and Chukyo region in particular, he added.
